While i respect your committment to do these films in 720p, why dont you try and do 1080p films too? The sizes are big already, add a bit more and we’ll have all around perfect rips.

    • Gangsternerd says:

because how i encode 720p it will give a good 1080p a run for its money. and also 1080p requires even more computer balls so might as well just do really good high quality 720p and keep almost everyone happy. i have a 65 inch tv and my encodes look very good! so its another reason i don’t even bother changing to 1080p, and what you see with most movies now is me re-encoding to make smaller to keep people happy. just didn’t with Fast/Furious cause to good to mess with. only a hand full of movies will get this kind of treatment

  2. Dogman says:

I appreciate the encodes so much too. Don’t want to sound inconsiderate But I agree I prefer 1080p as there is a noticeable difference in quality just check out PSA 10bit rips they are near perfect at 1080p. And the rips weigh in about 1.3GB which only adds another 500MB bigger in 1080p which are not bad at all.

    • Gangsternerd says:

i am not truly understanding what your saying… but i think its kind of bad? PSA 720p Extended Cut was about 1GB, When i Encoded this movie Series i didn’t do any bitrate or any size limit cause the movies were never supposed to be shared. and of all the movies in series i think 7 turned out the least great. but that’s not saying its a bad encode just the others had better results.

  3. Dogman says:

No don’t take it bad. All I was saying is my preference in x265 has always been 1080p.

  4. GoYiTsU says:

    Thanks for the upload.
Hey can you upload the Stephen King’s mini series Storm of The Century?

  5. Fayis says:

Thanks to add hi-quality….. Actually 720p and 1080p working smoothly but your slow encode is a perfectly good clarity..Unfortunately those encodes not handling my mob(mid range mob) mostly getting lagging ???,,,, if I am in home no problem at all…….anyway bad luck
And appreciate your hard work ??

PS. I know you dont really do TV shows but if you could, please do Zoo series 1 & 2. I have’nt found any good copies as of yet.

  8. AceVentura says:

Don’t do zoo its bad if you do one than u have to do them all

  9. Ttati says:

When are u uploading Waterworld extended and The abyss extended? There is not a single good torrent of these on the whole internet.

    • Gangsternerd says:

Abyss is coming to bluray so i’m not doing the Special Edition of it. and Waterworld i was looking for the long long good cut in some sort of HD but its out there to get. I can do the Extended Cut of Waterwold though

I for one prefer the 720p encodes. The quality is very high, the size is low and older devices can still handle the decoding/playing where they can’t with good 1080p x265 encodes. The HQ 720p and 1080p ones don’t have those advantages so I don’t bother with them.

Your work rate remains exceptional gnerd, thanks again.

  12. cyberdoggy says:

I too prefer 1080p Encodes. 720p is cropping the movie it may look good but people the movie is actually losing size with cropping. I would not mind the extra 400 to 500 MB difference to get the full screen version as it was intended to be seen. I am not knocking you gangsternerd everything is much appreciated but why not try a 1080p for the special movies you know the ones that draw lots of money at the box office like major releases. Just give it a try it probably isn’t as bad as you think. Granted you are making faster encodes and the quality is not bad but you are sacrificing the original aspect ratio of the what T.V. screens are capable of showing.

  13. papa says:

Just saying, rips 1080 in x 265 it take a lot longer than 720, just in case the admin release 1080 be sure to leave a comment and say thanks, after all, this is free 😊

  14. cyberdoggy says:

OK so I used the wrong lingo I meant aspect ratio. So what you are getting is a smaller screen that is blown up on a larger T.V. and yes I know what I am talking about go on the internet and look up Aspect ratios between 720p and 1080p there are even thuimbnails with proof of this. There is a reason that they sell 720p T.Vs and 1080p and 2160 T.V.s if you don’t agree then you don’t understand how it works.
